Harry Cendrowski, Global Chairperson of the GGI Trust & Estate Planning (TEP) Practice Group and Partner at Prosperity Partners, delivered valuable insights during the TEP Practice Group meeting at this year’s GGI European Regional Conference in Marbella, Spain.
Held at the METT Hotel & Beach Resort on May 9, the session brought together international practitioners for a timely and focused discussion on evolving estate planning frameworks across jurisdictions. Cendrowski led a dynamic exchange on global succession strategy and entity structuring, drawing from his decades of experience advising multinational families, fiduciaries, and private enterprises.
The program covered key developments in the trust landscape, including:
- The evolution of discretionary trusts and how settlors’ wishes are increasingly challenged;
- The impact of recent changes to non-domiciled rules in the UK, and viable estate planning options through non-resident trusts;
- Estate planning vehicles under Belgian law—such as the Belgian private foundation and the maatschap (simple partnership)—that may be applicable for foreign residents;
- Strategic considerations in entity selection for wealth transfer and governance.
Attended by members from across Europe and beyond, the session reinforced GGI’s mission of fostering cross-border collaboration and sharing high-level expertise. Cendrowski’s leadership continues to shape the global conversation around trust and estate planning in a rapidly changing regulatory environment.
Special thanks to fellow presenters Lida Achtari and Prof. Robert Anthony for their outstanding contributions to a thoughtful and engaging session.
